Hello everyone! I am the original author of Phayze's Dwemer Artificer Mod (I call it PDAM, but I don't know if it will catch on)
SharanisKhan tells me that it's okay to post in English here, so I thought it would be good to stop in and say hello and thank you to all of you folks who have been showing support for my little mod. It really means a lot to me that you're enjoying it and discussing it here, even if I can't understand a word of what you're discussing - Google translate helps, but only a little
I really believe that PDAM has the potential to be one of those "must have" mods everyone recommends to new players, but I know that I won't be able to get it there on my own - I won't be able to do anything without people like you guys to offer support, play-testing, and criticism to push me to make it better and better. Also, if there are any texture and mesh artists out there that would like to contribute to the mod, please let me know! I would really love to include some new and original automata (as well as unique variations on the vanilla ones) in the mod, but I just don't have those kinds of skills.
I'm open to any kinds of suggestions that you might have, so don't hesitate to share any of your random thoughts about the mod - you never know what might make its way into the next version.
I thought you would all also like to see this update that I posted on SkyrimNexus:
CURRENT STATUS:
Thanks to some expert help from SaidenStorm at the Bethsoft forums I'm making good headway with the next version. There are still bugs to work out, so bear with me.
What to expect in the next release:
Removal of all relation to the native magic system, therefor:
-Automata won't effect your summoned minion-count
-Proper inventory icons (no more goofy scrolls in the item view)
-No silly, dramatic casting animation or FX
No promises beyond that until v0.3, which will likely be the first significant increase in functionality.
Stay with me, folks, and keep the feedback coming in! I want to hear whatever ideas, complaints and suggestions you have to offer.
